Haush is where innovation meets sustainability

by | Sep 26, 2024

In a world striving for greener solutions, we are at the forefront, driving the future of clean energy with our pioneering Green Hydrogen projects “GH2“ for heavy transport and Biofuels for the Marine and Aviation Industries.

At Haush, we address one of the biggest challenges of our time – decarbonising the transportation industry. Our innovative solution lies in producing green hydrogen and Biofuels, a clean and renewable fuel that can significantly reduce carbon emissions.”

What sets Haush apart is our commitment to sustainability through innovation is that we start with the off-take requirements at a reasonable Power to X transition price and reverse engineer the solutions. We secure Power Purchase Agreements for green energy, which may include securing our own wind and solar production parks to ensure that our hydrogen and bio-fuel production is truly eco-friendly and secure. Our strategic stakeholders, including Sovereign Wealth Funds, Regional Development Funds, Investors, financing and key UK transport off-takers, ensure robust backing for our projects.

Haush, a prominent biofuel developer based in the UK, is spearheading innovative Green Hydrogen projects in collaboration with industry-leading partners. Our focus is on developing sustainable solutions for decarbonisation and advancing clean fuels, particularly within the transportation industry.

Green Hydrogen Production

Our state-of-the-art production plants are capable of generating between 10,000 and  45,000 kg/d of green hydrogen daily, strategically located close to consumption and green energy sources. This distributed model ensures efficiency and minimises energy loss. Currently, Haush has 360MW of Green Hydrogen under development we are expected to be producing GH2 in 2026.

Business Model

Haush business approach is for decentralised production of Green Hydrogen close to the fuel users and access to green energy. By optimising this model, we can be agile and scale to meet the demands of the transport industry. The green hydrogen technology stack of electrolysers, compressors and deionisers are all unitised and laid down technologies, enabling us to scale according to the projected demand for GH2. Haush utilises an integrated storage, refill and transport system that the off takers use to dispense the GH2. Our Biofuels capacity is under development in North America, Canada, and Asia, where we are working with key off-takers in the Marine (Bio-Methanol) and Aviation (SAF) Industries.

Pricing of the GH2 is targeted to be competitive with the price of diesel fuel (at or just below), therefore there is a strong incentive for the transport industry to transition to green energy. The same goes for the Marine and Aviation industries where the target production price is competitive to the current and future expected price. Our pricing models do not include subsidies and government support, so this enables us to maintain a competitive position in the market.  Haush off-taker’s capacity is for up to 1 million metric tonnes per year for each Marine biofuel and SAF products.

Location and Logistics

Haush primary focus is the transport sector, which requires GH2 for fuel cell power, which includes:

  • Road (heavy and light vehicles)
  • City (PUV Public Utility Vehicles, Back to Base Vehicles) and
  • Marine (Ferries, port logistic vehicles and micro-grids)
  • Aviation (short-haul aircraft, ground utility vehicles) and
  • Rail (locomotives)

Where our approach is to co-locate our production around these transport hubs.

This approach provides integrated energy security for the users since the production is local and decentralised.

Hydrogen Capacity

Haush GH2 plants can each produce a minimum of 10,000 kg/day of Green Hydrogen per site and is optimal around 25,000 to 45,000 kg/day. Haush project plans are to be producing GH2 from 2026 for each of these sites.  These sites are based in Pembroke (Wales),  Glasgow (Scotland) and England (Midlands), to achieve a target of 160,000 kg/d in 2028.

The Future

Haush is more than just a company; we are a movement towards a sustainable future. We are focused in our efforts to propel us towards achieving global impact by an alignment with the UN Sustainable Goals.

Haush is creating real change. Cleaner air, sustainable jobs, and a brighter future for our children.
